The emphasis in our religious school is the teaching of those skills necessary to live as a Jew, both at home and in the synagogue. We hope that our children will not only be able to read Hebrew, but that they will also have a significant understanding of the language of the Siddur. By the time of their Bar/Bat Mitzvah - a celebration for the entire congregation - each child will be capable of leading the Sabbath service as well as reading from the Torah and Haftorah. We understand that the role of the religious school is to assist parents in raising their children as Jews - ethical in their behavior and proud of their heritage. |
